AATCC 8/AATCC 165 COLOR FASTNESS TESTER TO RUBBING- DARONG

Origin: China

Category:

Color Fastness to Rubbing test determines the rubbing off of color from a fabric when rubbed against a specific test cloth. It is also known as the “crocking test.” It can be done either in wet or dry form. The crock meter works on the simple principle of rubbing. A sample is mounted, and a white test cloth is installed on the friction head. After the rubbing process, the white cloth is evaluated against a gray scale for any color transfer. This test is used widely in industries where dyestuff is used. Textiles, leather, and chemical industries produce dyed apparel, which requires testing. This test is important as it reflects the material’s color behavior if it bleeds or stains upon friction. Items like clothing and upholstery should be tested before manufacturing as they face frequent rubbing and friction.
